Here’s 3 things you can start today that will increase your self-belief and get you confidently building the creative business you cannot stop dreaming of!
If you dream of bigger things for your product business, then I’m here to tell you that it’s totally possible! Aspirations of dream stockists, high calibre press coverage and a business premise that ran like clockwork were always high on our list and because of that, we made it happen.
Many of us start on a creative journey for the passion but inevitably the hard work, dedication and resilience, all warrant reward and there is no shame in taking those next steps to help you achieve that warranted reward. These three steps are ones that Mum and I took in our business and allowed us to go from loss making to over £40k profit in just two years. Having bought out Mum’s original business partner with a business loan, we went all in and levelled up our game! And so can you!
1. Stop playing small!
If you want to step up your game, have a serious think about wholesale and don't play small. If you're already stocking local independents start to look at the larger (British preferably 😉) independents that have a number of national stores and set these in your sights!
2. Quit spending hours on tasks you don't enjoy!
Anything you put off until the last minute that then takes you hours because you don't enjoy it and have to google 'how to's', get rid! Outsource your accounts, marketing emails, social media, or photography, whatever it may be. Yes it's a cost but the time you save will have you driving so many more valuable sales!
3. Sort out your space!
If your spare bedroom, garden shed or loft space is constantly overflowing, start looking for an upgrade! Space is an expense but so is being unorganised and limited stock space. Search locally, ask around and you'll be surprised at what you find. Don't dismiss the idea if you don't yet have the answers.
